We’re adding the next 3 NFTs to our raptor NFT collection: an electricity, fire and plant velociraptor! In total 11 raptors have been minted now. More NFTs will be coming! In total there will be 100 velociraptors.

If you want a bit more background information, check our article on our velociraptor NFT collection introduction. For an overview of the full collection, check our full velociraptor NFT collection.

Note that, all of the velociraptors will be unique (minted once). If you purchase it, you will be the sole owner of that NFT. Second to that, all raptors are hand drawn, they’re not procedurally generated.

Purchasing our Raptor NFTs

If you’re interested in purchasing one of our raptors, they’ve been put on sale in our store on OpenSea. The price will be 0.035 ETH for volt and 0.030 ETH for Nuria or Laurel.

The price of our raptors is calculated as follows: 0.025 ETH base price for the raptor + 0.005 ETH for each trait the raptor has.

📝 Note: All of our NFTs have 5% royalties. This means that on each transaction that’s made, 5% of the proceeds go back to our account. Those royalty fees will be used to pay for our expenses (domain, website, SSL certificate…).

NFT Minting on Polygon (no Gas)

Our NFTs are minted on OpenSea. They’re on the Polygon blockchain, this means there won’t be any gas fee that needs to be paid when purchasing them.

Polygon is a layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that aims to solve the issues Ethereum currently has: speed and price. Polygon transactions only take seconds and cost a few cents.

What are Velociraptors?

The dinosaurs that we call, most often, raptors, are in fact Velociraptors. They lived in the Cretaceous Period, over 70 million years ago. Velociraptors are quite small dinosaurs, they’re about the same in size as a turkey 🦃.

In the picture above you can see how they Velociraptors could have looked like. Historians claim that raptors could have had feathers, looking more like a bird then how they appear in movies. This is speculation however, it’s not known for sure.

If you want to learn more about raptors, check the article on Wikipedia. They have some great information about the history of Velociraptors, about feather knobs they discovered, the different kind of raptors that existed…
